Misandry
(2022)
3-channel video projection installation
3:30 min
An interactive three-channel video installation showing a swirling graphic, news clips about women in misogynistic ways with inverted colors on each mention, and women in lingerie touching themselves under red light with a purge siren blaring in the background.

Misandry merges mass media and erotic spectacle to expose the looping cycle of misogyny in American visual culture. By pairing hypnotic imagery with distorted news footage and hyper-feminized performance, the work frames sexism as a form of political theater, both sensational and numbing, revealing how femininity is continually constructed, consumed, and punished on screen.
